Renamed Movin’On in 2017 for its first North American edition, Michelin’s well-known event on sustainable mobility returned to Montréal this spring. ENGIE was one of the leading partners this year and the event generated quite a buzz in Europe.
Several members of ENGIE group’s Executive Committee were present, including our CEO Isabelle Kocher.
Ms. Kocher was visiting on May 30, a busy day when she was interviewed in front of a full house by Monique Leroux, past president of the Desjardins group, and two journalists. She returned to Boston after her brief visit.
Other visitors from abroad included Ana Busto, Director of Communications and Branding, Michèle Azalbert, CEO of the Hydrogen BU, Frank Demaille, CEO of the Noram BU, Michael Shack, Director, B2T Business Line, and Ovarith Troeung, Director, Green Mobility, to name just a few.
Of course, there was also a delegation from ENGIE Services, including our CEO, Jean-Luc Billiani.
On May 30, ENGIE had an outdoor space where it welcomed many visitors, such as the team from Solar Impulse Foundation, the first solar-powered aircraft to fly around the world, and the captain and founder of Energy Observer, the first hydrogen-powered ship. Over the three days, ENGIE’s team also capitalized on the event to organize panel discussions, workshops and strategic meetings with current and potential clients, contributors and colleagues.
Here are a few links to video clips that will give you a sense of the ambiance.

Our mobility experts also wrote a few articles, including:
- Michael Schack, Director, B2T Business Line: “ENGIE, cities, mobility and sustainable growth”;
- Yann Rolland, CEO Ineo: “With ENGIE, more comfortable public transit for more sustainable mobility”;
- Ovarith Troeung, Director, Green Mobility’s panel: “Systemic urban mobility solutions to make our cities livable again.”
The event proved so successful again this year that ENGIE may well be present in 2019. Stay tuned!
